11th grade class

Chapter 7 talks about bishops and deacons. They were the authorities of the church. Bishops, however were the ones that were in charge of leading church services. A bishop was seen as being almost as important as a governor. Church leaders were very important to people. If town people needed advice in some kind of problem, they would go to church leaders so that they could help them. Chapter 7 also talked about the transition from Bishops and deacons to priests. Apostolic succession is very important because it means that priests could trade their ordinance back to an apostle. That gave credibility and reliance to priests all over the world.
