catias journal
This week we learned about what Mahatma Ghandi's view on Christianity. What he thought was that the most important thing about Christianity was to believe in Jesus teachings not in the person that Jesus was. About this I agree with Ghandi. To me it is more important that if you call yourself a Christian you can actually follow what Jesus teachings were. There are many hypocritical people that call themselves Christians just because they go to church every Sunday but they do not even stop a second to start judging other people and their lives. What some people do that call themselves Christians contradicts Jesus teaching sometimes. To follow Jesus teachings is the hardest thing and that is why I think that is the hardest thing to do and that if you do it or really try to follow Jesus teachings then you really own the right to be a Christian. Jesus teachings are a really important compilation of good advice and you can learn a lot in them, even if you are not a Christian you can learn a lot from him. For example I think all the religions have a good part in them and we can get good lessons from other religions even if we do not necesarily want to be part of that religion.
