Journal for first few weeks of Church history class

The eleventh grade class has learned a couple of things this year. We have learned about the stoic notation. Christians added a note of grace to the stoic notation. We now learned that North African Christianity produced the first Latin speaking churches in the world. Did Anybody know that the "God fearers" were Gentiles who believed in the religion of the Jewish people, but yet were not from a Jewish race. There was this guy that was known as the father of Latin Theology. The time period between A.D. 70 and A.D. 312 was known as the Age of Catholic Christianity. Latin was the language of the Roman upper class. Greek was the language of the Roman lower class. The best way to launch a tour of early Christian expansion is with the Jews!!There are various things that we have learned this past week. Christianity in North Africa was led by Bishops, not by somebody else. This class is so enthusiastic about learning new things about ancient churches. we are looking forward for the trip to Antigua Guatemala.
