Hus didn't want to lie only because the church did not agree with his sides of view.

Not even for money he would change his mind.

"I have said that I would not, for  chapel full of gold, recede from the truth."

Few scenes in church history are more touching than Hus's fidelity and refusal to swerve from absolute truth,even to save his life.

On 6 July 1415 was the day before his burning and Hus saw that all his books he wrote were burning on a bonfire.

One day later Hus was executed.

The Bohemian rebellion refused to die with Hus.It developed a moderate and militant wing

The followers of Hus called the Utraquists and the Taborites struggled against the Roman Church and the German Empire until several wars reduced theri number and influence.But an independent church survived called the Unitas Fratrum or Unity of the Brotherhood.

The time of judgment had come.The Unity of Brotherhood was wittness to that fact, and a promise of things to come.
